47th Annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop
Since 1975, the Natural Hazards Center has hosted the Annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop in Colorado. Today the Workshop brings together federal, state, and local mitigation and emergency management officials and planning professionals; representatives of nonprofit, private sector, and humanitarian organizations; hazards and disaster researchers; and others dedicated to alleviating the impacts of disasters.

The 2022 Researchers Meeting will focus on the theme of Back to the Field? Hazards and Disaster Research Following the Pandemic. Plenary and thematic sessions will address questions related to how the pandemic has altered approaches to hazards and disaster research, while also considering the potential long-term consequences of COVID-19 on the research enterprise and communities that face disasters. Researchers from all disciplines and all career stages are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation.

ES-SSA 2022 Annual Meeting
The ES-SSA 2022 Annual Meeting will be hosted by the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida. The meeting is planned to take place fully in-person and the date is tentatively set for 23-25 October 2022. While ES-SSA focuses primarily on advancing earthquake science in Central and Eastern North America and intraplate seismology, we also welcome contributions from other aspects of earthquake and seismological studies.
